Opportunities for Your Future

Globe with international flags 1. Do you have a degree from a university in another country? If you would like to know how to get credit for this degree in the US, attend a free workshop "Using Your Foreign Degree in the U.S." This workshop is held two or three times each semester from 5:30 to 8:30. Check the Continuing Education schedule online to find the dates and room number for the next workshops. Then register in advance by completing an application available in the Continuing Education Office room 660 (open until 4:30pm) or online. 2. Are you or someone you know interested in FREE beginning-level ESL courses? New 8-week courses will begin in Fall 2012 in the evenings and Saturday mornings. Register in advance by completing an application available in the Continuing Education Office room 660 (open until 4:30 pm) or online. 3. Do you need help completing the application for financial aid (FAFSA)? If so, go to the Financial Aid Office in the One Stop Center to sign up for a workshops where you can get help.When you attend the workshop, bring your income information, like federal taxes, and w-2s, and, if relevant, your parents information, like date of birth, and social security numbers to help in filling out the FAFSA. 4. Would you like a chance to practice your English with a native speaker? The Spanish English Conversation Club is a place for students learning Spanish and students learning English to come together and practice the language they are learning with each other in a natural and relaxed environment. They also help each other with questions they have about the language and talk about and share each other’s cultures.
