SWC Photo & Digital Mission Statement
The Southwestern College Photography & Digital Imaging Program serves transfer students, photography majors, students pursuing photography industry employment, and enthusiasts from the community.
The program places emphasis on both Professional Photography and Fine Art Photography. The program aims to develop the personal creative vision of each individual student while teaching important concepts, technique, critical thinking, and applied learning. Our classes cover historical philosophies, contemporary trends, and aspire to stay current with Photography & Digital Imaging industry standards and technologies.
The program encourages experimentation and collaboration with related programs such as Graphic Design, Cinema Arts, Journalism, and Studio Art
